The College Woman’s Club of Westfield awarded $40,000 in Scholarships
at its Annual Meeting on Tuesday, May 24, 2022
at Echo Lake Country Club
The awards were presented to four young women from Westfield to
help them pursue their college education. The recipients were selected
based on academic achievement, community service, and financial need.

Riley Gasson is the recipient of the $3,000 Grant in Memory of Katharine Jaruzelski and the $6,000 College Woman’s Club of Westfield Scholarship. Riley plans to study Neuroscience at William & Mary in Virginia.

Rachel Kamienski is the recipient of the $1000 Anthony James Master Builders Scholarship and $12000 College Woman’s Club of Westfield Scholarship. Rachel plans on attending San Diego State University in California to study writing.

Payton Silverman is the recipient of the $5000 Marjorie McCornack Scholarship and $4000 College Woman’s Club of Westfield Scholarship. Payton will be attending Providence College in Rhode Island, where she plans to major in science.

Isabella Lagatta is the recipient of the $2000 Past President’s Scholarship and $7000 College Woman’s Club of Westfield Scholarship. Isabella will be attending Skidmore College in New York and would like to get her master’s degree to become a writer or journalist.
The College Woman’s Club of Westfield has awarded
