Westfield – The College Woman’s Club of Westfield hosted a special event, The Ins and Outs of the College Admissions Process. The event panelists included Maureen Mazzarese, Director of Counseling Services K-12 in Westfield, Beth Cassie of College Bound Mentor (www.collegeboundmentor.com) and Susana MacLean of MacLean College Counseling (www.macleancollegecounseling.com)
Over 60 guests attended the event. The panelists discussed various issues involved with getting into college. Items discussed included Standardized Test Preparation, Extracurricular Activities, Summer Preparatory Programs and more. The format was informal and informational as attendees were asked to submit their own questions for discussion.
The College Woman’s Club is dedicated to furthering the higher education of young women. Every year, the CWC distributes a number of scholarships for graduating seniors. The scholarships are awarded to young women from Westfield on the basis of academics, leadership and financial need.
