The College Woman’s Club of Westfield awarded $40,000 in Scholarships
at its Annual Meeting on Tuesday, May 25, 2021
via a live teleconference event.
The awards were presented to five young women from Westfield to
help them pursue their college education. The recipients were selected
based on academic achievement, community service, and financial need.
This year’s recipients* are:
Caroline Bielen, Elizabeth Bielen,
Martha Byrne, Rebekkah Dayon and Sophia Principato

- Caroline Bielen, $3000 Grant in Memory of Katharine Jaruzelski. Caroline plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh this fall.

- Elizabeth Bielen, $5000 Marjorie McCornack Scholarship. Elizabeth will attend Lehigh University in the fall.

- Martha Byrne, $2,000 Past President’s Scholarship and $10,000 College Woman’s Club of Westfield Scholarship. Martha will be attending the University of Notre Dame in the fall.

- Rebekkah Dayon, $10,000 College Woman’s Club of Westfield Scholarship. Rebekkah will be attending Montclair State University in the fall.

- Sophia Principato, $10,000 College Woman’s Club of Westfield Scholarship. Sophia will be attending the University of Delaware in the fall.
The College Woman’s Club of Westfield has awarded
over $1M to recipients since 1995.
